If you want to program your Sky remote to control both your Sky box and your TV, you’ll need your Sky remote version. You can find this on a sticker either on the inside of your remote’s battery cover or next to where the batteries are located. It should begin with “rev”.
rev.4 – May 2001 (Sky Plus)
rev.6 – March 2004 (Sky Plus)
rev.8 – January 2006 (Sky Plus HD)
rev.9 – July 2011 (Sky Plus HD)
rev.10 – June 2014 (Sky Plus HD)
Sky Q – Rev 1
If you received your Sky remote control in May 2007, it’s likely to be rev 8, even if you can’t be certain.
Note: You can not program any Sky remotes previous to rev 4.
