How to program your Sky remote to control your TV
The following guide will explain how to program your Sky remote control (using a 4 digit code) so it can work your TV as well as the Sky box.
If your unsure of the basic functions of the Sky remote control then please check our user guide first.
Step 1 – You need to find out the make and model of your TV, the make will usually be on a badge on the front of the TV, if not it maybe on the rear of the TV on a sticker alongside the model number. Don’t worry if you cant find the model number.
Step 2 – You also need to know what revision (version) of Sky remote control you have. This is on a sticker inside of the battery cover – more details on remote versions here (this will open in a new window).
Step 3 – Locate your TV from our list here (this will open in a new window) you can then find a list of codes. There maybe a number of codes to try.
Step 4 – Ensure that the TV is switched on. You are now ready to enter the code. Press tv on your Sky remote, then hold down select and the red button until the red light at the top of the remote flashes twice (this should be 2-3 seconds).
Step 5 – Press tv on the sky remote again, Now you can enter the four digit code then the LED should blink twice, if not re check the code and try again.
Step 6 – Point the Sky remote at the TV and press standby on Sky remote, the Tv should now go into standby mode, press select to store this.
You should now be able to control your TV from the Sky remote. Try changing the volume using the vol +/- buttons to see if you’ve been successful, if not repeat step 4 and 5 using different codes for your make of TV from the list in step 3.
