How to program your Sky remote to control your TV
The following guide will explain how to program your Sky remote control so it can work your TV as well as the Sky box.
Step 1 – You need to find out the make and model of your TV, the make will usually be on a badge on the front of the TV, if not it maybe on the rear of the TV on a sticker alongside the model number. Don’t worry if you cant find the model number.
Step 2 – You also need to know what revision (version) of Sky remote control you have. This is on a sticker inside of the battery cover – more details on remote versions here (this will open in a new window).
Step 3 – Locate your TV from our list here (this will open in a new window) you can then find a list of codes. There maybe a number of codes to try.
Step 4 – You are now ready to enter the code. Cover the front of your Sky+ remote control and press tv on your Sky remote, then hold down select and the red button until the red light at the top of the remote flashes twice.
Step 5 – Now you can enter the four digit code then press select. You may then be required to press the select button to store this.
Step 6 – Point the Sky remote at the TV now and see if the code has operated the volume of your TV.
You should now be able to control your TV from the Sky remote. Try changing the volume using the vol +/- buttons to see if you’ve been successful, if not repeat step 4 and 5 using different codes for your make of TV from the list in step 3.
